Alissa's new hair style

I am just getting Alissa ready for some good ol' Disco skating! If you are wondering why the last picture is with 'fro pictures, then you are weird. Duh, it was the same night, with Ricco Wright. He is our friend from NY; he came to our wedding and he is doing well in school. We remain good friends and hope to enjoy many more years of friendship, visits, and 'fro pictures.

Charlotte Bobcats

Hello. We went to the Charlotte Bobcats' game. They played the #1 Boston Celtics. We had box seats. We had more food than Chuck O' Rama. We had fun. I like basketball. I like buffalo wings. The seats were free.

Quilting

We just thought that we should post these very old pictures of the creation of Heather and Eric's quilt.

Cameron is holding bags and bags of quilting supplies and fabric underneath a building named after him! (Notice CDC)

This is Cameron and I hard at work making the strip quilt for Heather and Eric's Wedding! This stage was pinning the fabric sections together. Don't prick your finger, Cameron!

Y?

Well, Eric and Heather inspired me to write about the second best University in Utah County....If you can't guess, it is where only the statues have beards. If you still can't guess, it is BYU, where the women who don't find husbands, get their money back, guaranteed!

Alissa's Hair Cut

Alissa cut her hair.

Welcome to Charlotte

For all of y'alls who ain't familiar with Charlotte, come along with us as we take you on a journey to see some of the great sites of Charlotte.
Charlotte is the largest city in the state of North Carolina and the 20th largest city in the United States coming right behind Toole, Utah at number 19. It has a population of approximately 664,732 thanks to the recent move of the Castletons (Cam and Ali)
Charlotte (as well as the county containing it) was named in honor of Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg, wife of King George III of the United Kingdom. The tallest building in Charlotte is the Bank of America Corporate Center which is designed to look like a crown in her honor. It looks like a building to me.
Charlotte is a great mix of people. Half of the town come from rich banking backgrounds and contain some of the best bankers in the world. The other half think the S&P500 is a Nascar race. Nascar is huge down here. In fact when the guys came and laid our carpet all they talked about was Nascar this and Nascar that. Bank of America is the official sponsor of Nascar so during my orientation they took me to the Nascar track and I got to ride around in the Nascar....car at speeds exceeding two-hunny miles per hour. For all of you who love the NFL as Ali and I do, you will appreciate the Bank of America Stadium where the Carolina Panther's play. Oh, yeah their star player is Steve Smith, who is recognized as one of the NFL's most dominating wide receivers, and he is coming all the way from the best college football team ever....the University of Utah.

Here Alissa is by a statue.
Outside of the stadium you have to watch out for giant pouncing panthers. Alissa! Look out!!!

Here Cameron is fighting over a statue ball with a statue....he lost.

This is the Charlotte Bobcats Arena where the Jazz will beat the bobcats this year.

This is Cameron in front of the Bank of America Plaza where they employ his services. You can also see this building in the above skyline picture right next to the corporate center.

Here it is again...for those who can't get enough of it.

This is the pathway to our condo that we adore. This gazebo is the gazebo that costs 170 a month. It provides great shelter for any three people, two fat people, or one stinky person.
This is Alissa at a photo shoot in front of our sign that indicates that we are at the right location of our residence.

This is Cameron posing in front of a sign with his name on it.
This is Cameron posing in front of a sign that has his name on it three times and also says, "Life is good in Cameron Wood" It also looks like he is taking a dump.
We hope you all loved your trip to Charlotte. Please come again, and next time, let's do lunch.

Painting our Condo

This above picture is of a painting done by Cameroni Castletono during his superior collegiate athletics era. It represents the Native American bravery coupled with the heart and dreams of modern excercise. This painting also represents his nostalgia of when athletic prowess was a metaphor for the nobility of man.
The lower picture is of when Castletono went through his blue period. During this period he had everything going for him. The sky was the limit, and I mean that literally, he was limited to things that were blue like the sky.
As many artists have attempted the exploration of the self-portrait, Castletono provided his image of himself. He painted himself the way he was viewed by the public. His paintings and name were the only thing known by his many adoring fans. So he painted himself this way. This reflects upon the reality that we really view ourselves in a mirror of society rather than a true looking glass; We are shaped by so many external factors.
This message is approved by the Cameroni Castletono campaign.

Gun Puns

Isn't this the sexiest thing you have ever seen? (Scott and Eric don't need to answer)

Anybody need tickets to see the Gun Show?

Word.

We thought we would end our trip to Utah with a "bang." Alissa and I were both "fired" up for a day "loaded" with fun. We drove all the way to shooting range and Alissa sat "shotgun" reading her "magazine." Being new to shooting, I had a lot of questions. However, Alissa was so eager, she "shot first and asked questions later".
Understanding the "scope" of my "target" audience I think I will end by just giving you a "bullet" list of the events.
  • We shot a AR-15 (Assault Rifle), Shotgun, .38 special, 40, and a 9mm.
  • Shot clay pigeons and targets.
  • No one shot anybody else like Cheney did.
  • Acted tough

I hope you got a "kick" out of this!!!

Honeymoon in Ocean City

As most of you know, we spent a little over two relaxing weeks in the beautiful town of Ocean City, New Jersey for our honeymoon. Each morning we would wake up and eat breakfast on our deck that overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. During breakfast we would talk about what we wanted to do that day. Here is what we came up with... We visited the zoo (this is Bruce the Capybara)...
We ate lobster, crab, and all sorts of sea food...

We rented a surry and rode down the boardwalk...

We went to the arcade...

We went miniature golfing...

Believe it or not, we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not...

We went fishing...

We visited Atlantic City and went to great restaurants like Rainforest Cafe....

We played a par-3 course...

We rode go-carts...

We (I) caught sharks and borrowed someone's jacket...
We dressed up like crabs and Rastafarians...

We went and visited the beach...

We (Alissa) played in the sand...

We also biked on the boardwalk, went shopping, consumed at least two crabcakes a day, played board games, watched NBA playoffs, course, went on a seashell hunt, completed a 1000-piece puzzle, panned for Cape May diamonds, and much more.

Basketball

So this is was my last semester of intramural basketball. We have had a solid team every semeseter and we go to the semi-finals or quarter finals every year, and every year when the season is over, we always say, "we need a tall guy," but of course we never find one. As you can see we have a wide range of people 5'10" to 6 feet tall.. Every year we get beat by a team that has a guy who is 13 or 17 feet tall. and makes Goliath look like David. This year we lost in the semi-finals to a team that we beat in the regular season. We were down by 20 points with 5 minutes to go and we went on a 17 - 0 run, but we ended up loosing by three. Oh well, we had a great time! My Co-Ed team won the championship. We went through the whole regular season and playoffs undefeated! I figured if I couldn't win against guys, I would have to resort to playing against girls...and that thankfully worked. Alissa was so supportive she never missed a game! I know that the picture of her above looks like she is trying out for a spot on Kiss's rock n' roll band, but she is actually just thirsty because of all the cheering and yelling. In fact, she reminded me a lot of Mom's cheering. If I ever make a shot, she starts to scream and tell me how good I am (even during warm-ups and lay-up lines) and when I miss it she still says I am amazing and remarks how close it was to going in. She even compliments me for doing a good job on the bench. She says stuff like, "even when you were on the bench, you had great posture!" Anyways, i am very appreciative of her support and unconditional cheering!

Day at the Beach

As you can see we are not in our swimmingsuits. We just went for a nice walk along the beach. It wasn't as exciting as wakeboarding or surfing, but it was nice to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty of nature.

I taught Alissa how to throw rocks. Originally, I wanted to teach her to skip rocks, but as time went by I realized that she would have more success if I just taught her how to throw rocks, and since she does not live in a glass house, I thought it would be O.K. She ended up doing a great job. She threw many rocks and the splashes were excellent.

This is Starr; she is pooping. Unfortunately we did not get a photo of Alissa's Mom's face when she realized she stepped in that very same poop two seconds later.
